For terrace care we offer as follow:
Danish manufacturer's decking oil Woca
Water-based colourless oil to help your terrace retain its colour and protect against UV rays
Outdoor products are directly exposed to sunlight, rain and snow, and these are the reasons why wood changes its natural colour, micro cracks and splits appear. Due to the natural oxidation caused by ultraviolet rays, the wooden surface turns grey, i. e. it becomes covered with patina. Tropical wood species: Azobe, Cumaru, Ipe, Iroko, Piquia, Padouk and other similar woods do not require special care, because the wood itself has such properties as high density, resistance to biological decay and others. Due to the aesthetic appearance, surface roughness, greater resistance to moisture and UV rays, tropical wood products can be cleaned and oiled with specially designed products once or twice a year. We recommend using hardwood oil for surface maintenance, special wax can be used to protect the ends of the boards.
The oil will help protect the wooden surface so that it is beautiful, strong and protected from moisture and UV rays.
Oiling
- Clean the products from leaves or other coarse dirt.
- Rinse the products with water or a special cleaner (if previously oiled)
- Dry for 24 hours.
- If necessary, sand with fine sandpaper to avoid even rare chips.
- Stir the oil well with a wooden stick. Stir the coloured oil before re-immersing the brush.
- Apply the oil in the direction of the tiling. The brush must be well lubricated with oil.
- Leave to soak up the oil (about 20 min. ). Then polish with a cotton cloth or polishing sponge and wipe off any residue with a dry cloth.
- The curing takes 1 to 3 days. During this time, protect the surface from water! The oil needs air to harden, so it is recommended not to cover it. Before walking or other use, check that the surface is dry.
